There is a large festival tent with a live band and seating for probably about 400 people. Additional seating is available outside and around the tent. The band alters between Bavarian folk music and Rock and Pop.

Unlike Germany, no beer and no food is served INSIDE the tent. Instead, beer and food is served in about 15-20 stalls located OUTSIDE of the tent. Each stall represents a different brewery, each one typically with 5-10 different beers on tap.

Beer is served in 350 mL and 500 mL glasses and 1 and 2 litre "Masskrug" mugs.

Each stall has its own glassware. A deposit of 1000 yen per glass, 2000 yen per 1 litre mug and 3000 yen per 2 litre mug is charged which is reimbursed when it is returned. Glasses can also be taken to another stall when buying beer in which case the glass is accepted in lieu of a deposit. However, for reimbursement a glass must be taken to the stall from which it was received.

ATTENTION teetotallers ! There will be no soft drinks available at any of the stalls. However, some of the stalls (but not all) serve alcohol-free beers. To be safe, you may want to bring some water or soft drinks with you. The closest convenience store is a good 8 minutes walk away near Yurakucho.
