Your hash is basically a checksum, albeit a somewhat sophisticated checksum. A very crude form of checksum would be the count of characters and/or count of words in a given text. Now ask yourself, would you need a license to publish how many characters and words are in any given copyrighted text? Absolutely not. As long as you do not publish your stats in a way that the original text can be reconstructed from it, it will not be a derivative work of the measured text. And if it is not a derivative work then it does not require any consent from the rights holder of the measured work.

Yes, it is a binary format, and will have completely different contents
each time you tweak some parameters, such as the hash size.

That is another interesting example, isn't it.

You could partially reproduce the original: i.e. some of the words in
order, but 99% of the information you need would be missing. So, again,
my guess would be you could release your index under any license you wish.
