Well, I may be getting closer to solving both of these.  I have gotten it
working in both, just want to make sure I can do so consistently.  It looks
as if one should make XOMDIFIERS and other entries, and, at least in
Fedora, just change a false to true.  When I get it working consistently,
I'll update my page.

I'm not going to mark this solved, because it's not yet consistent. :)
