Thanks, I won't hear back from said wife till tomorrow. I'll let her know.
At present, I don't know what company her sister uses.  I'm guessing it's
some sort of Galaxy SIII as well, which is what I had, till I managed to
lose it.  (Though I did have a protection plan, so it was less bad than it
could have been.)
