That is a nice feature that enables stuff like this: http://uberconf.com/blog/stuart_halloway/2010/09/notes_on_remote_pairing TLDR; start a tmux session on an EC2 node, start Emacs in that tmux, and tell your pair programming buddy to login and attach to the shared session.
