Equiso is another interesting success story.  I was surprised to find an
email from them this morning saying they are celebrating a year since
the successful close of their Kickstarter campaign[1] by allowing all of
us that got their "perk" to swap it for a faster/larger storage retail
version[2].  I think it is an impressive "thank you" for those of us
that (effectively) helped them get into production.  I feel more
"rewarded" than simply having (pre-)purchased a gadget.

(Of course now that Chromecast is out with a slicker user interface and
a lower price point, I suspect they are doomed... but it was a good
year. :-)
