> Can anyone recommend a wi-fi router with a strong signal/range? I can give you a data point, for a Buffalo AirStation WHR-G301N. I have this on our second floor. It gives good coverage downstairs (40-80%), except in one bedroom, where it wobbles between 0 and 40% strength. Ironically, this is the bedroom almost directly underneath the router. So in the wrong conditions it can be poor at 2 metres, and in other places in the house it might be 10 metres. It appears others in the Buffalo range are "high power", and my one isn't. So, you could reasonably expect better results with one of them. Darren P.S. The Amazon page seems to show some stats on signal strength by distance in open space: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B006MNEH1C
