+1, even if you buy a DVD media, rip it to your drive and forget about
all the noise of the spinning disk.

Last time I looked into "region issues" was 10 years ago had some
funky Yamaha SCSI drive on RedHat 5; these days I don't care.
As far as I remember, `mplayer -dumpstream dvd://1` doesn't care either.
