Hi All.
I'm having a font problem and can't figure out what's going on.
I just set up a new debian system and noticed that the korean
characters in this string
Girls' Generation 소녀시대_I GOT A BOY_Dance Teaser
don't render right on it. I've been poking around for a couple of
hours and can't figure out what's going on. As far as I can see,
locale is right -- en_US.utf-8. Japanese seems to render ok -- at
least I'm not seeing any 文字化け on yahoo.co.jp.

Thanks for the responses Steve & Kalin.
I guess all Takeo fonts are not the same. I have an ubuntu 12.10 system
(Debian, right) and Debian 6.06 that I'm trying to move to in hopes of
getting back to gnome-2 and because I can't seem to get Skype to work
with Ubuntu but did on Debian.
Anyway, I have one netbook running Debian and was installing on the
second. I assumed (duh...) the new install was the system with the
problem but it turns out that the older one also has the same problem
but on the ubuntu system things work fine.
I did a quick try installing the ubuntu fonts on the debian system by
copying the font .ttf files from the ubuntu system to the debian and
running the gnome font installer as root but am not seeing the new fonts
so there's more I need to do. I'm out of time and will need to return to
this.
