That's not an excuse for failure to trim.

Get a touchpad stylus if your finger control is, like mine,
insufficiently accurate to trim conveniently.  The stylus really helps
a lot on the devices I have access to (my iPhone and iPad-1, and my
wife's Samsung Android phone).
