What problems have you had with your printer?
Google Earth can be a little tricky since it can't just be apt-get
installed. I found this if it helps:

Chris,
I'm an utter beginner but last week I downloaded both, Mint on my PC and
Ubuntu on my AA1. It's just the way it worked out. I chose those two because
of their ease to install. I haven't tried others but they may be easier.
Don't know. I do feel they have their limitations. Neither can connect to my
printer (so I must still depend on my WXP). I can't download Google Earth on
either. What I consider basics work fine: mail, browser, YouTube. It's for
the purpose of advancing from here that I look to learn Linux.
