Technical Account Manager - Japan

Are you ready to travel the world?
Are you customer service & solution-oriented?
We are currently seeking a Technical Account Manager
to own responsibility of operational relationships in Japan
working for a Global & market leading, solutions provider
for a vast array of services including voice & high-speed data
communications. This is your opportunity to interface
with top Japanese network providers,
who are managing video, voice, & data
on high-capacity digital networks on a daily basis!
As the in-house expert of the customer’s operational environment,
you will be the customer advocate working
to escalate & resolve issues for Tokyo customers.

In this exciting & fast paced environment
you will be primarily responsible for customer incidents & deployments
including: Assigning new incidents to technical support personnel,
or escalate to solutions or core engineering as necessary;
work as development lead in concert with engineering to deliver bug fixes
& minor enhancements
to the customer & ultimately resolve all customer incidents & bugs.
This is your opportunity to manage a customer support environment
for technical support purposes!

You will also be directly involved with the coordination of release
planning,
deployment, & technical support activities
including: release management process, staffing, planning & execution;
the participation in integration testing activity;
coordination testing with third parties (vendors) as required;
& software optimization activities.
You will play an integral role in the customer account team activities
along with the Sales Director & the Project Manager.

This position requires Strong English & Japanese communication skills
(written, verbal),
problem-solving skills & interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of the domain (high-speed data, VoIP), particularly with the
cable industry.

- Knowledge of DHCP infrastructure & DOCSIS provisioning

- Knowledge of UNIX, with some experience in maintenance or admin
activities.

- Intermediate-level knowledge of Oracle (OR another relational database,
such as Sybase or MS SQL), such as basic SQLs/queries

- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff & external
clients

- Able to participate in the on-call rotation (for Japanese clients
only) 1 week per month (Extra Bonus Offered)

- Ability to hold ongoing contacts with operational personnel in
identifying opportunities for new sales & new products

- Able to travel (minimally)
