In the meantime, I have found tcptrace and friends: http://www.tcptrace.org/useful.html so tcpslice may help to devide the original big file into smaller parts. Maybe it would be even better if I would be able to strip the "meat" in the tcp packets, leaving only tcp headers or something like that..
