There is a Nautilus plugin called "nautilus-open-terminal". So you can
be in the directory of the script, press Alt-F-t, and you get a gnome
terminal ready in the correct directory. Incredibly useful.
(I became addicted to this feature using pcmanfm where it built-in and
is a single keypress, F4; when ubuntu 7 forced me to upgrade to ubuntu 8
(*) pcmanfm would no longer work so I was forced back to nautilus and
then discovered the plugin.)
BTW, for frequently run scripts like you describe I often create a
custom launcher in a drawer in the gnome panel. One of the launcher
types is "Application in terminal". Or you can just specify
gnome-terminal as the command (as Godwin said).
