Well, me again.  :)  

Fedora was the first to use it.  Ubuntu has it available now, as does
Arch.  CentOS doesn't, last time I tried (not very hard) I couldn't
build it from source on CentOS, as some library or another was too old.

It works well enough for me.  I have a mention of it on my page at
http://home.roadrunner.com/~computertaijutsu/jpninpt.html. 

I think that most distros, perhaps with the exception of CentOS and
RHEL, which are running relatively older programs, have it available. 

There isn't much to using it.  I think that any desktop with Gnome will
probably automate it (though not using Gnome, I'm not sure of that.)
