HI, > yum --nogpgcheck localinstall <rpm_name> > > It should pull in the dependencies. Thanks, I googled for that but gave up quickly thinking the 64 bit rpm for hplip was asking for some other things from testing and I just decided to do it manually instead of setting up the repo. CentOS does have an rpm but for the printer I got, I needed a new version. Actually, I was really impressed with hplip's documentation except for the fact that is say linux is not supported over a network. It works fine. I did set it up with a mac though and had read you can't set it up via linux but can only use it. Ok you people who really know how to do things probably could... >It's possible that the installer is looking in /usr/lib rather than /usr/lib64. Well I sidestepped the issue but what could I have done -- put a link to /usr/lib64/gcc-lib in /usr/lib? Shawn
