Individuals in Japan do that all the times with foreign citizens. Do people care ? I am talking about children of separated couples of course.

The Dems/Repugs little game in the US is a proof that you can achieve
the same result by making things look vastly different.

candidates are better orators than others).  But there is a vast array
of small but important differences in practical policy matters, eg,
Supreme Court appointments.

While differences like the number of untold genocides around the world is pretty much non existent, and maybe the dems have a better score there.
