There is plenty of commercial software that is OSS, you mean "proprietary software". But in fact that only things that can't be done in OSS are the things that are illegal to do in OSS. True, OSS doesn't do "devil's in the details" stuff very well -- eg, icon collections (has anybody seen GNU Emacs's latest? it could be used on a Right-To-Life poster!) -- nor stuff where you *need* mandatory system standards for quality of life (compare Aqua to GNUMB UIs). But OSS *does* get around to them (eventually). If you as a client are in a hurry, you may prefer to buy a limited license, of course.
