Dimitar,
Thank you for the helpful tips.
What I aim to create is a simple "yes" or "no" for a user on a product.
So if User A looks at Product X, my system will simply say "this product is recommended to you" or "this product is not recommended to you", based on how users with similar tastes have rated other products.
The advice you've given will help me towards that, I'm sure.
