If you wander over to the Fedora Forums you'll see a few threads on this topic and Fedora 7 and if memory serves, some work-arounds. As you say, it boils down to the kernel on the install disk and is fixed in an update (That's no good if you can't get the thing installed!) You could try the latest test release of Fedora 8, I'm told it's quite stable and is slated for release Nov 8th. It has a 2.6.23 kernel. Wayne
