Geeze, why didn't you leave this where I'd see it before I replied. ;-)
That said, also concider how many projects of that sort get started, then never make it beyond the beta stage. :-) It could be a while before we see the end result. Also, the finished project has a fifty percent chance of not being FOSS. :P I know, people don't like to think about that, but it is true.
As I said, what I have seems to be the result of a few people drinking and saying "I wonder what would happen if we tried this ..." It doesn't seem to have any official backing. The products both have versions that are browser accessible so, frankly there isn't as broad a need for a standalone and there might not be enough projected sales to make anyone want to consider it. It's probably best to think of them as toys and experiments unless someone in the company decides to turn them into something else.
If they did, I doubt they'd tell a big mouth like me ...
