Some of you may have heard of the Scrum development / project management methodology, which has been spreading like wildfire across big companies (IBM, Google, Amazon, etc.) and small alike. According to the Wikipedia article,[1] it was actually two Japanese blokes who noted the similarities between successful project teams and successful rugby teams; fitting now that Scrum has come full circle, with the first ever ScrumMaster training course being offered in Tokyo! http://www.scrumalliance.org/courses/1346-certified-scrummaster Emerson Mills helped register the venue for the course, Tsuda Hall in Sendagaya. If your team is already using Scrum, or you are interesting in introducing Scrum to your company or team, this course should be well worth taking. >From the course page: This two-day ScrumMaster Certification course will provide a comprehensive in-depth training in Scrum theory and practice, taught by two Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainers. The course will cover a range of topics: * Introduction * Self-managing * Scrum Master role * Done and other Scrum Nuances * Product Owner and Product Backlog * Release Planning * Sprint Planning and Sprint Backlog * Daily Scrum * Retrospectives * The team * Scaling Scrum * Organizational changes -- Cheers, Josh [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrum_%28development%29
