Was he wearing a "UTC" (University of Tennessee at Chattanooga) shirt?
Should have been in something like it.

Some relatives bought property along the coast of Mississippi and drive
down there with their MN plates every winter.  It was just a matter of
plastering the car with decals from the local sports team. [besides, the
whole damn river starts from a little lake in Mn so it's not like we
don't have anything in common].

Of course in MN, nobody cares if you cheer a team from the South.
