Well the magnitude was almost 8. A really strong earthquake even for
an advance and experienced country in earthquakes as Japan.
So it's easy to imagine that the zone is devastate and communications
will take several days to reestablish.

Anyway the victims was only 450, really few people considering the
magnitude and that the infrastructures in Peru are poor. So it's to
suppose he is alive, anyway maybe there will be not official news
after some days.
