Of course, there are those who would say step 2 should be done first, but they just don't have their priorities straight ;)
Solaris 10 shipped with all the GNU stuff by default, unless I am badly mis-remembering.
I would be using S10 / OpenSolaris right now if the drivers were just there... it is One Hell of a Unix!
