I'm new here so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the Community Manager on the OpenSolaris project, and I moved to Japan about 8 months ago from San Francisco.
Welcome aboard, Jim. We sort of changed geographical places, I guess. I'm now one of the "remote" TLUGgers. I lived in Japan from 1994 - 2002, then made my way back to California by way of Viet Nam and recently moved to the bay area to join IronPort Systems (maker of fine gateway/security appliances, and owners of SenderBase and SpamCop). I hope you enjoy Japan and TLUG as much as I did, it's a great group. To this day, my favorite LUG anywhere in the world.
I may be making a business trip to Japan sometime this year (fingers crossed hard), so perhaps we'll get to meet up.
Hy ... cool ... love to meet. I work out of Sun's Yoga office primarily. We just moved from Yokohama.
Jim
Note to TLUG: I'll try and schedule my trip to coincide with a nomikai, but if I can't, I hope to schedule an unscheduled one with old TLUG hands, and new ;-)
