There used to be a gnome tool (daemon) a while ago (was called acid or something similar) that mapped these key events to acpi events. With the /sys filesystem it's just a simple operation like `echo mem >/sys/power/state`. For example the sleep/power/wake buttons on my keyboard still show up under xev, though they are not configured properly.Attachment: signature.asc
