I'd tried that; in fact that is my current setup that plays DVDs. I just
found up a wmv and that plays okay. But AVIs still crash xine.
However I've been told the latest versions of xine are now on extras,
and just the non-free parts have been left on livna. I've not looked
into this yet (or rather I've not looked into why yum didn't find it
itself - I may have extras repository disabled...).
