This is what Novels strategy has been from the start. Look at Novels embracing of Microsoft tech i.e. dotNet. Novel sees it as a win because selling Linux to Microsoft users who have no Linux experience is difficult. If your client has to ditch all their VB programmers and code to run Linux they will factor this into the cost of switching. Microsoft sees it as a win because it makes all the other solutions that involve ditching Microsoft completely much harder to sell. Microsoft knows people are leaving so they are trying to limit the damage by make it easier for them to return. Edward
