Dell has very competitive prices and also include VT technology in
newer models (so you can also run Windows if necessary under xen).
Memory is server class so it will cost, but it is more reliable than
the akiba low priced stuff.  If you buy the dell SATA RAID controller,
it is recognised by newer distros (actually Adaptec I think).

ONe thing to watch out for is power consumption ... the bigger the server
