Re: [tlug] linux and zarus?

I've been using a sony clie for 4 years now, but today one of my

I admit that I am a junior ranger compared to most on this list, but I
am confused. The airH card is in the Zaurus (which is possible), and it
is the gateway for the laptop? Not the other way around?
Quick question- if I were to say accidentally smash my sony to bits in
order to convince the wife that I needed a new PDA, which linux
enabled PDA would linux fans here recommend? What's hot these days?
I don't think you have many choices, other than Zaurus. Someone fill me in.
I am happy with my Z, but I do feel that it was too expensive for its
usefulness. As a pda, a palm is probably a better buy, if only because
there are decent wireless cards (I curse the day I bought this planex
gw-cf11x), a better built-in calendar, etc.
Since you are a linux whiz, the Z will be a great toy, but you cannot
play with your pda (reinstalling, etc.) if you are busying using it as a
pda, which is why I suggested the palm. The pda needs to always be the
pda and functional, and for this reason, I am still using the Sharp ROM
in Japanese. Also, I like the handwriting recognition. But the main
reason is that I don't have the luxury of down-time with the Z because I
am relying on it to run KO/Pi (which is heavenly, let me say again...
hail the developers... and suggest that they release an upgrade!)
Just a humble perspective from a Z user.
