About 6-8 months ago my company replaced my aging ThinkPad with a new Dell
laptop. Within a couple weeks, the SysAdmin here notified me that Dell was
doing a battery recall -- something having to do with explosions, I think,
but the notice itself was written in Japanese so I wasn't able to pick up
the subtle details behind the recall. I'm glad now that I let him go ahead
and swap out the battery ;-)...
