[tlug] jEdit with gij?

Is anyone successfully using jEdit with GNU gij 4.1.1 (specifically,  
Fedora Core 5)?

jEdit 4.2 fails with a free(): invalid pointer and jEdit 4.3pre4 dies  
with a munpack_chunk() invalid pointer... in each case after  
displaying the splash screen but before drawing the main window.

P.S.  Anyone using DocSync <http://docsynch.sourceforge.net/> (which  
is the reason for my interest in jEdit)?  I am a SubEthaEdit fan, but  
not everyone has drunk the OS X Kool-Aid.
