[tlug] anyone using water cooling systems?

Hi everyone,

After doing a lot of research on setting up a server on mini or micro itx architecture, I've come to the conclusion that it would be better to build a slightly larger server on standard size motherboard. My previous debian server had a processor melt down because of dust accumulation on the fan, so to prevent and also to eliminate the noise, that I've been thinking of going with a water cooling system. There are a few different brands available, and also NEC sells a complete system as well that looked pretty neat but are soldiered together so after a few years you basically have to throw it away... Has anyone played with these water cooling systems and if so do you have any recommendations? Also, I wonder if there are linux tools that can monitor the state of such a system?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Cheers,

Scott VanDusen
