That may be true. But so far as I know, I haven't touched it at all 
between when it worked and when it didn't.

Although, I have found out that I can access one of the sub directories. 
So I'm able to transfer files between the two computers, although I 
still have no idea why the permissions are different on the directory I 
was using before.
