Botond, when you say "your" do you mean Godwin's or Mr. Ishii's.  I also
had the ISO-2022-jp-2 in the header.  

I use mutt, usually in mlterm. 
I wasn't able to read the email in mlterm, even when setting encoding to
ISO-2022-jp-2.  (I was also unable to read it in mrxvt which is set for
EUC.)

However, when I imported it into Sylpheed, which autodtected it, I was
able to read it.
