At present, I think their default is still kinput2 and canna--if one
chooses Japanese support during installation, at least as of a few weeks
ago, they installed canna.

However, yum has scim, anthy and scim-anthy available, at least since
FC4.  (Not all of the offshoots have it yet though, apparently, e.g.
Blag.)

NetBSD now has anthy and uim, though if you don't know how to use
PKG_OPTIONS, it'll also install canna.  :)  I guess the venerable
kinput2 -canna combo is gradually passing away.
