   It just occurred to me that the chikatetsu entrance around Yokohama 
station is somewhere
around where the sotetsu line is.  If that is the case, running to the 
other side of the
platform and exiting there will put you a lot closer to the chikatetsu 
entrance (barring
you don't slide on any salaryman vomit and end up in the morning newspaper
外人飛び自殺 news).
   So it might have been a good decision after all.  Assuming he knew could
distinguish yellow from orange at the time  ;-)
