[tlug] Japanese PDF files in xpdf 3.0

Hi!

I'm trying to view some Japanese PDF files using xpdf, but I could not
convince it to show any Japanese character. I normally have no problem
in other applications, it seems that just all PDF viewers don't like
Japanese...

The Japanese character maps are installed of course. This version of
xpdf also no longer uses xfs but font files directly with freetype.

I tried adding the following line to my xpdfrc:

displayCIDFontTT
Adobe-Japan1	/usr/share/fonts/ttf/japanese-extra/kochi-mincho-subst.ttf

That only gives my some strange characters. Any hints? Thanks!
