Expensive ones. :) Seriously, you should be fine with any brand-name (e.g. TDK, Sony, Maxell, etc.) discs these days. Do *not* buy the cheap, no-name media, or you will regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but you *will* regret it! [1] To elaborate, a lot of those no-name discs use cheap metals, which will start flaking or otherwise deteriorating in a few years. Plus, even while they work, you may get more defective burns due to the same. Later in this thread, someone (Dmytro?) mentioned cdparanoia, which is a fantastic tool for ripping audio, especially off damaged discs. I cannot remember whether you are a GNOME man or a KDE man, but you probably have enough of the GNOME libs installed to use gRIP[2], which is a GUI front-end to cdparanoia, mp3enc/oggenc, etc. (It basically automates the entire ripping / encoding process, and has CDDB / FreeDB support as well, to cut down on the necessary typing in of disc and track info.) -Josh [1] Easy reference: 5 points
