No doubt that it is possible to run GSX on Gentoo, but its a matter of
liability and safety.  When you pile loads of stuff on top of each
other, it may become pretty tough to troubleshoot and pin point the
layer that causes the problem. Seems that GSX generally runs on 2.6
kernels, but only Suse Pro 9.1 as a 2.6 distro appears in their
supported.

Anyway there is documentation on their website for those supported
systems, and they cannot weasel their way out of the support by
claiming I use the wrong distro.  That will probably happen if their
are problems with the guest operating systems ...

I originally started with Suse so its not a new experience.   

Does anyone know if Suse Enterprise server needs to be licensed per
Virtual machine or per Hardware? (Windows needs to be licensed per VM
so no cost saving for licenses :-( )
