[tlug] Losing keyboard input in Mozilla / Debian

I've suddenly lost keyboard input in Mozilla (Debian Sarge) as well as
Firefox. I uninstalled, removed the .mozilla directory, and
reinstalled, but no change. I've Googled for such keywords as "Mozilla
loses keyboard linux" but haven't turned up anything. Keyboard input
is fine in Konqueror and all my other apps, as far as I can tell. Has
anyone else run into this?
