Quoth Shawn (Fri 2004-08-06 03:43:33PM +0900): > <shameless-rip-off> > Quoth Josh: > </shameless-rip-off> LOL My attribution line used to be: Quoth Foo Bar, and verily thus (Day YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS TZ): But then I decided that many of the things I wanted to quote were not at all "verily". ;) > >A-ha. Sorry, I was not paying attention. Thanks. No need to apologise. The reason that I took the time to answer you is that I could do it with a minimal time investment, and you asked for help in an appropriate way. Plus, when my first suggestion did not work, I had the added motivation of not looking like I don't know what I am talking about! ;) The force at work here is community, not Open Source (though Open Source is often motivated by the same force). I give help when I can and when I have time to give back to the community (in this case, TLUG) that nurt- ured me from a Linux n008 to a somewhat capable novice in the Way of Unix (see the writings of Master Foo[1]). Since there is virtually no way I can actually help Chris Sekiya and The Brothers Doughty and Steve Turnbull, I try to help out where I can, to sort of carry on in their grand tradition (and no, here I am not speaking of rum, sodomy, and the lash[2]). Sorry, it is a silly time of day. :) Cheers, Josh [1] http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/unix-koans/ [2] http://www.allgreatquotes.com/funny_quotes57.shtml -- Josh Glover Gentoo Developer (http://dev.gentoo.org/~jmglov/) Tokyo Linux Users Group Listmaster (http://www.tlug.jp/) GPG keyID 0xDE8A3103 (C3E4 FA9E 1E07 BBDB 6D8B 07AB 2BF1 67A1 DE8A 3103) gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys DE8A3103Attachment: pgp00013.pgp
