Why not use a multiport USB which is automatically switching.  They have
them in Yodobayashi Camera in Shinjuku on the 2nd floor, if I remember
correctly. Cost about Y7,000. Or run one dual or better USB from the JPN M$
and MDK boxes to a USB switching hub and the Win98SE to the same USB switch.
Then press the button for one side or the other.  I'm using that in our
house with four comps to one printer or scanner.  No problems. There is no
software involved. As long as the printer has both Japanese and English
capability ie HP printers with USB capability all come with both English and
Japanese installation programmes.  As they are USB, hot switching works.

Dear tlug,

I need a 2 or port print server that that supports English and Japanese
OS's.
right now I'm using a buffalo single port PS. it works great on my Japanese
M$
ME box and my MDK box but no luck on my English 98ME boxes, and those are my
most important boxes for my school. any suggestions..
P.S. I don't need anything too expensive I was looking a netgear and
D-link...but I'm open for anything right now.. My budget is tighter than a
virgin holding a nickel between her knees! LOL.....help please
