Sheesh, where did that rumor start?   Actually, I think it's growing in
popularity.  FreeBSD is actually becoming one of those "It just works"
things, and these days, I'm able to use it as desktop almost as easily
as Linux--though this of course also comes down to
intuitive=what_you_are_used_to_using.
