[tlug] Setting HYLAFAX for email notification

I have installed Hylafax on my home PC in order to have Fax send/receive 
capability. The fax server is working well and I can receive faxes to 
/var/spool/fax/recvdq.

I need to be notified when a Fax has been received, the documentation 
for Hylafax says this is done by defining a mail address for the 
PostMaster, this I have done by settting FaxMaster: in  /etc/aliases to 
my email address (Internet mail account). However this does not work.

I assume it has something to do with the mail configuration but I don't 
know where to start looking.

Can any one advise what I should be looking at
