Yes that is interesting.  8.0-8 here  I wonder if they use that to help keep
track of something in the up2date tool?

On my 7.3 machine though it says 7.3-1   I guess I will have to google that
one I think the - is not indicating a minor release though?  I think the
number after the - is just gas or something.
