Hello Thanks for the suggestion. I somehow made it with a copy from one of the japanese ftps. Now I am trying kterm and rxvt as per instructions from Scott. But when I start kinput2 -canna & using a script, it says that kana kanchi server cant be communicated. Kterm is not helpful. But rxvt responds with a small dialog box when I press shift+space. But I can input only hiragana this time When I press shift and look for other kanji options, it says that *kana kanji server cant be communicated.* But kinput2 -canna is up and running. Any suggestion is warlmy welcome KS --- On Mon 08/11, Tim Hurman < kano-tlug@example.com > wrote: From: Tim Hurman [mailto: kano-tlug@example.com] To: tlug@example.com Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 09:54:59 +0100 Subject: Re: [tlug] Japanese on Slackware On Sun, Aug 10, 2003 at 11:29:39PM -0400, kayamboo wrote:
>
> Hi folks
> I did a lot of work around and have finally got canna and kinput2
> installed on my slackware9.0
>
> But kterm is not installing and it throws an error in main.o while doing
> make?
> Any help?
>

Attached is a patch to fix the kterm install (really only a few small
headers fixes).

Tim.
Attachment: Attachment (1.19KB)
_______________________________________________
