PartitionMagic claims it can perform the conversion in both directions without destroying the data. It's been a while since I've upgraded but, judging from several versions ago, if they say they can do it, they probably can. BTW, the makers of PM also claim they can manipulate (ie: create, resize, etc) EXT2/3 partitions as well. Ahhh...
