go to http://rpmfind.net/linux
and put the libXm.so.2 into the search and download openmotif rpm and
install and try again (same thing happened to me)

thank you for your advice.
i've downloaded opera, and tried to install it.

unfortunately, there is a failed dependency:
libXm.so.2 is needed by opera-7.11-20030515.4

i put links in /lib, /usr/lib, /usr/X11R6/lib/: 

ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3.0.1 libXm.so.2

but it does not care about the changes.
the error remains.
how shall i do ? 

dir> whereis libXm
libXm:
dir>

where does opera.rpm look for this lib ?
